I hoped i would never have to do this but sometimes things happen that you never expect. One of my very good friends named Joel was mountain riding with some friends in their pickup trucks. He was a passenger in one of the trucks and it started to rain so they decided to come home. On the way back the driver (I believe he just got his license because he is a jr. in high school) punched the gas around a sharp turn causing the truck to roll, causing Joel to fly out the rear window of the truck. I got the information on how the accident happened from the most reliable source I could go to at the time, there could be some differences between the truth and what he said but what is known is that Joel now has two broken vertebrae's in his neck, his whole left side of his face is severely injured, his left eye lost most of the muscle but the parts that allow him to see were not harmed so I guess that means it will be hard for him to open his eye but he can still see, and he has a fractured skull. Currently the doctors have him in a drug induced coma. You read stuff like this all the time, in newspapers, on forums, etc. but it really hits you hard when it is a close friend. If you guys could pray for him, his family, friends, and I would greatly appreciate it. We are all keeping him in our prayers, he has made it threw one night the doctors said that he probably wouldn't.
